Caring for your artwork

Artwork requires a gentle touch to preserve it's color and luminosity for a lifetime. Never clean your pieces with liquid or abrasives of any kind.

Paintings: gently wipe with a dry cloth, makeup brush (or soft brush), or use compressed air to remove any dust or particulates. Avoid hanging artwork in direct sunlight to avoid fading. Stretched canvas should never be stored where objects can depress the surface either in front or from behind, doing so may leave permanent depressions in the canvas in the shape of the object or cause tearing.

Pastels: should never be wiped down in any way and should be matted and framed under glass. Pastels never dry, and they will be destroyed if physically handled/wiped/compressed air is used.

Watercolor: Watercolor paintings are especially fragile. If exposed to water they will be destroyed. Frame under glass and handle with care.

Prints: Paper prints should never be wiped or overly handled. They should be framed under glass, and hung away from direct sunlight to avoid fading. The surface of prints can be scratched, keep this in mind when handling. Canvas prints can be gently wiped and you can use compressed air. Just like paper prints they can be scratched if rougly handled so handle with care.
